Will it be painful?
Working with tender muscles can sometimes lead to some mild discomfort during the massage, but your therapist will communicate with you to make sure they are using the proper pressure. After the massage you could have some temporary soreness due to the release of lactic acid from your tight muscles.
Do I have to take all my clothes off?
You will be instructed to undress to your comfort level, typically down you your underwear. Your therapist will leave the room while you are undressing. Any areas not currently being worked on will always be covered during your massage.
Should I talk to the Therapist during my massage?
That’s up to you. Some people like to chat, others like to just relax. Make sure you let your therapist know if you’re hot or cold, if you need less pressure, if you need to use the restroom, or if you have any questions or forgot anything on the intake forms.
How often should I get a massage?
Your therapist will give you recommendations based on what they are finding during your treatment, but most of our patients will get a massage once or twice a month. Regular Massage Therapy sessions can help with pain, flexibility, and overall wellbeing.
Can I get a Chiropractic Adjustment on the same day as a Massage?
Absolutely! Many of our patients get adjusted after their massage and feel the two treatments together give them outstanding results.
