What do I need to bring to my first visit?
Completed New Patient Paperwork Packet – Fill out as much as you can, we can help you if you have any questions. We may have you complete additional paperwork related to your specific condition when you come to your appointment.
Bring any recent imaging – x-rays, MRIs, CTs, etc. Bring any reports, discs, or hard copies you have.
Medications list
Any sheets of exercises/stretches you have been prescribed previously.
Will you take x-rays?
That will depend on the examination and history. If we determine you need x-rays or other imaging, we will refer you to Urgent Care or an imaging center.
Should I stop taking my pain medication?
You do not need to stop taking any prescribed or over the counter medication you have been taking prior to your appointment. It will not interfere with the examination.
Are you going to “crack” my spine? I’m afraid the treatment is going to hurt!
We have a wide range of different techniques that we use to treat patients, and they’re all effective.
We have treatments that are very gentle if that’s what you need. We will work with you to find what is best for your condition.
How many treatments will I need?
Every patient and condition is unique. The time it takes each patient to heal depends on many factors.
Traditionally, we will see our patients twice a week for the first 4-6 weeks and then perform a re-evaluation. After that, if we are seeing good results, we will start spacing your visits out.
Do I have to keep coming back if I’m feeling better?
It’s up to you how long you decide to benefit from treatment. Most of our patients opt for maintenance care once they are feeling good again. That can vary depending on the patient, but most of our patients see us once a month to make sure they are feeling great and functioning at a high level.
Some of our patients only come in for treatment when they are having a flare up and are hurting.
We don’t make you sign a contract or pay ahead for your treatments.
I want to use my insurance, how does that work?
We will try to verify your insurance and we will estimate how much you will owe per visit. That amount will be collected on each visit.
Please realize that every plan is different, and we cannot know for sure exactly what you will owe until your insurance company has processed your visit and issued an explanation of benefits.
